Revival is preceded by unceasing prayer and fasting. However, more is required; we must act on what we are praying and fasting for. If we don’t act, nothing will happen.
Revival is power, it is action! Whenever I think of the actions God wants us to take, I remember the exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt. When Moses was crying out to the Lord on behalf of His people, the Lord replied, ‘Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward’ (Exodus 14.15).
This attitude will bring the revival that Christians so long for. We cannot merely live a God-fearing life and hope for the best. We must advance with the assurance that revival is God’s will for our lives.
One thing we can never forget: God will not do anything until we have taken the first step towards what we want. This basic truth can be seen throughout scripture. God does not work alone. According to the Bible, our Lord didn’t perform any miracles on His own.
We’ll have the seven weeks of Revival
– Fasting – The fast chosen by God – Rescuing Souls – Isaiah 58 (EVERY DAY!) – A soul a day.
