You still lack one thing

You may not be sure about many things in life nor even have the answers to all your questions; however, there is ONE thing you must be sure about, YOUR SALVATION!

A rich young ruler one day approached Jesus and asked Him a question: “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus began to talk to him about the commandments; the young ruler replied that he had being keeping them from his youth. But for his surprise, Jesus told him:

“You still lack ONE thing…”

I’m sure when the rich young ruler heard it he was very surprised, after all, he was doing many good things, but still, something was lacking:

“Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.” Mk 10:21-22”

God can see what others cannot see, when He looks at us, He knows whether we are attached to something/someone or not.

The young ruler asked Jesus a question and Jesus showed Him exactly what he still lacked in order to be saved, his heart was attached to earthly possessions, that was impeding him from being saved, though he was doing many right things, however, because he did not surrender that ONE thing that was in his heart, he lost his salvation.

With God it’s ALL or NOTHING, you may have surrendered many things already, but if you haven’t surrendered ALL, you are not saved! That’s why you have this doubt in your mind that never goes away!

As long as you hold on to what is separating you from God you will never have the life He has promised here on earth and above all, SALVATION!

Make a sincere prayer and ask Jesus “What is it that I still lack, what is it that I haven’t yet surrendered to You, what is it that I am still attached too? As He reveals that to you, don’t turn your back on Him, listen to Him and do what you have to do, don’t put your heart on nothing  and no one, don’t worry about displeasing people, losing “friends”, being rejected or persecuted, no matter what you will lose the moment you do what God has inspired you to do. Look at what is written:

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Mt 16:25 NLT

This Sunday, April 26, we’ll be baptizing in water all those who have decided to let go of what has been separating them from God. It will be the LAST baptism before we move into our NEW church! Don’t miss this opportunity.
